I would like to thank everyone for your patience, prayers and understanding during my extended absence.  The accident and my father's passing was an extremely difficult time for my family.  God Bless You All and I hope you enjoy seeing the few smaller offerings from my "Old Souls" collection.

     The "Old Souls," A Reflection Of Love.

My "Old Souls," A Reflection of Love, are not intended to be replicas of old Steiff teddy bears or any other old teddy bear but merely one of my "Bruin Beings" who's mohair has been distressed to achieve a  care worn look which gives the appearance of receiving years of love and hugs that we see in our beloved antique teddy bears.  Each "Old Soul," like the "Bruin Beings," is a "One Of A Kind" and each has a different degree of care worn countenance, some are almost totally bald while others may have only a few patches of missing fur yet, in each, you will find that "Old Soul" which never ceases to capture the heart of those that love the Teddy Bear.

It took me awhile to tackle that brand new piece of mohair and distress it into something I felt suitable for what I saw as my "Old Souls" but the end result captured my heart. The process of birthing an "Old Soul" takes much longer then the birth process for a new "Bruin Being" yet each is rewarding in their own special way.  The "Old Souls" are excelsior filled with only a dash of pellets for weight. 

I know the "Old Souls" are not for every Teddy Bear collector and I offer more "Bruin Beings" then I do "Old Souls" yet from time to time they call to me and I can not resist the excitement and anticipation that I feel when I am working on a new "Old Soul."

My only regret is that my camera did not capture their true essence and since they are no longer with me I can't try for a better picture, I must use photos from my personal work library. Each of the following selected "Old Souls" Armestead, Leopold Archibald, Gwendolyn, Nurse Inez and Buddy have been seen in Teddy Bear Scene magazine.  A wonderful publication from across the big pond, England, yet available in the USA.
